The lesson I regret not heeding.
The Call- You Must Get Him to Quit Smoking!
"Mrs. Green"
"Yes"
"Hi this is Dr S Calling"
"I just got off the phone with your husband, and I have an urgent
matter to discuss with you".
"You must insist that your husband quits smoking".
"Okay""
"Listen to me carefully Mrs. Green, We just got back the results
of his blood test;his total cholesterol is very high, he must change
his diet and lifestyle immediately. High
Cholesterol and smoking ;is a heart attack waiting to happen."
The Warning! - If You Want a Husband and a Father
for Your Kids. Just Get Him to Quit!
"What am I supposed to do? That is all he likes".
"Listen Mrs. Green, this is not a recommendation this is a warning.
I know your husband is only twenty seven, and still thinks he is
invincible. He better grow up quickly. He must take what I said
seriously, or else you won't have a husband, and your children won't
have a father".
"Okay, Dr. I will.
"Mrs. Green, I will repeat to you this warning. I told it to your
husband and I am telling it to you now, if your husband doesn't
heed my warning he will suffer a heart attack within ten years."
"Bye Doctor"

a good idea, nothing to get excited about.
What actually followed was, I ate my red mead guiltily,
I smoked my cigarettes guiltily, and I ate my Wise onion garlic
and barbecue potato chips guiltily.
My life continued on its regular course, I occupied
myself with everything else, except for taking care of my health
and making sure I quit smoking.
How I wish I understood then what I know now!
At that time I didn't understand the relationship
of high cholesterol and smoking. How a combination of both increases
the chances of clogging the arteries which leads to the clot that
blocks the blood flow
